Corinthians director of football Edu Gaspar has revealed that the Brazilian side have been approached by Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of their prized midfielder Paulinho, adding that the talks are "progressing well".
Paulinho’s record with Corinthians has been nothing short of commendable, where he profited the Brazilian club with 13 goals in 54 appearances last year in all competitions. This year, he already has six under his belt, and is looking to add more to that tally.
But if Paulinho does manage to increase that statistic, the highly-rated midfielder may not be doing it with Corinthians, but in a place further north, with London calling his name.
"The process is in full swing", Gaspar was quoted as saying by Voetbal Primeur.

"We have yet to agree in some details, so I cannot say if Paulinho is already going to leave us – although negotiations are progressing well", the Corinthians official added.
The Brazilian club have not made it a secret that they want €20m for Paulinho, his release clause, and Spurs may have already met that valuation.
