Manchester City sporting director Txiki Begiristain would have placed a phone call declaring his interest in Lazio defender Stefan Radu, were it concrete, the player’s agent believes.
Radu has been consistently linked with the Citizens over the last 12 months, but thus far nothing has materialised for the Romanian.
And Radu’s agent Victor Becali feels certain that such is his relationship with Begiristain that if the Premier League runners-up wanted his client he would surely know about it.
"Neither I nor Lazio know anything about interest from Manchester City", he told Tutto Mercato.

"I have a great relationship with Txiki Begiristain and if City are interested then he would surely have called me", added Becali.
The 26-year-old, who can play as a centre-back or a left-back, joined Lazio from Dinamo Bucharest in 2008, and has won praise for his performances in Serie A.
Radu has picked up 14 caps at international level with Romania.
