Liverpool have announced that they have formally completed the signing of striker Iago Aspas from Celta Vigo.

The Reds had agreed a fee with the Spanish side and terms with the player, but the deal had been delayed. Now it has been pushed through to completion with the Spaniard passing a medical on Merseyside.

Aspas has signed what the English Premier League side have described as a "long-term contract" at Anfield.

"Liverpool Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of striker Iago Aspas, subject to international clearance", the Reds announced.
