Brazil and QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar has explained that he is happy to be linked with Serie A giants Roma.

The 33-year-old’s future with Harry Redknapp’s side hangs in balance following the side’s relegation from the top tier of English football last season.

Cesar, who is currently taking part in the ongoing FIFA Confederations Cup with the Selecao, switched to the English club on a four-year deal last summer. However, following their failure to hang on to in Premier League, the former Inter Milan star’s career with QPR may be in doubt.

Apart from Arsenal, Roma have stepped into the market to secure the services of the Brazilian this summer. It is also believed that the Giallorossi are keen on acquiring the reliable Brazilian custodian.

“I’m glad of the interest from Roma. However, I am not talking about my future at the moment, I think only of Brazil”, Cesar told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I am happy to go back to Italy after all that I have achieved with Inter, but it is too early to talk about anything.”

Cesar appeared 24 times in the Premier League last season, conceding 37 goals. He has a contract at Loftus Road until June 2016.

The shot-stopper won a whopping five Serie A titles with Inter Milan, as well as a Champions League crown and a FIFA Club World Cup between 2005 and 2012.
