Despite speculation surrounding Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale’s potential move away from White Hart Lane, the club’s manager Andre Villas-Boas is not interested in listening to offers for the Welshman.
Villas-Boas has heaped praise on Bale, calling him a ‘gifted’ young player and believes he can ‘go a long way if motivated’.
"The club chairman said that we are not going to consider offers, whatever they are, and that the player will continue. In football anything can happen, but these are the guarantees given to me", he told Portuguese sports newspaper O Jogo.
The 35-year-old manager gave details of the turning point in Bale’s campaign last season in which the speedy winger bagged 21 Premier League goals.

"There was a moment last season when he came to me because he was not comfortable on the pitch. I do not know if it was my response or the fact that it took away his stress but after that he gained confidence. We gave him total freedom, he felt important and finished the year in style.”
Aged only 23, Bale is one of the hottest properties in the European transfer market and is believed to be valued at around €70m.
Besides widespread interest from Real Madrid, other clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City and PSG are also keen to have Bale on board.
Under Villas-Boas, Tottenham played attractive and entertaining football last season, but despite Bale’s prolific form finished only fifth in the table, thus failing to qualify for the Champions League.
