Uruguay skipper Diego Lugano believes that Brazil no longer play beautiful football, and the trademark of their game is increased physicality.

Lugano and his side take on the Selecao in the semi-final of the FIFA Confederations Cup tonight at the Estadio Mineirao in Belo Horizonte. Luiz Felipe Scolari’s Brazil finished at the top of Group A in the competition, whereas Uruguay – 2011 Copa America winners – finished second, below Spain, in Group B.

Looking forward to the match, Lugano insists that there is a change in the style of play in Brazil, and it is more physical and tactical.

“Brazil no longer play beautiful football. They play hard and are very physical”, the centre-back told Eurosport.

“I have played in Brazil [with Sao Paulo] and perhaps they are the physically toughest games in Latin America, and it is very tactical.”

The 32-year-old Paris Saint-Germain defender also lashed out on Brazil sensation Neymar, saying that the forward falls to the ground easily and cheats referees and opponents during play.

“Neymar is a lightweight. He falls to the ground and cheating referees and opponents", the 32-year-old said.

The new Barcelona signing has scored three times in an equal number of matches for Brazil so far in the competition. Uruguay’s Abel Hernandez is the second highest goalscorer with four goals, below Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.
