Paris Saint-Germain striker Kevin Gameiro is believed to be itching for a move away from the Parc des Princes in search of more first-team football and may find his solution with La Liga stalwarts Valencia, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

Gameiro, 26, was in good form for the Ligue 1 champions during the 2012/13 campaign, grabbing for himself eight league goals despite making only seven starts – the rest of his appearances, totalling 18 matches, have come from the bench.

Gameiro’s struggle to break into PSG’s starting line-up could understably prove frustrating, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ezequiel Lavezzi on the squad sheet as well.

But Gameiro may have an easier time getting into the first-team at Valencia. The Spanish outfit are looking for a new striker to replace their target man Roberto Soldado, who is mooted to be gearing up for a transfer, coincidentally, to PSG.

Soldado, for his part, has already made it clear that, as far as he is concerned, he is not looking for a move away from Los Che.

Apart from Valencia, Gameiro is also believed to be in the crosshairs of other European clubs. Indeed, Tyneside giants Newcastle United are believed to be hotly in pursuit of the French forward, with Arsenal and Liverpool not far behind.

Gameiro has a contract with PSG that will be in effect until the summer of 2015.
