Cold water has been poured on a reported €29m bid from Newcastle for Saint-Etienne pair Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kurt Zouma.
The Magpies are known to hold an interest in striker Aubameyang and are thought to also be monitoring developments regarding his team-mate, defender Zouma.
It had been suggested the English Premier League side had offered €29m for the pair, but Zouma’s agent has claimed this is not the case.
"The €29m offer mentioned in the press from Newcastle, for Zouma and Aubameyang is completely false", the defender’s representative David Venditelli told Eurosport.

Aubameyang is expected to nevertheless be on the move from Saint-Etienne this summer, having expressed a desire for greener pastures and boasting no shortage of suitors.
The striker helped Les Verts put together a tilt at the Champions League spots in Ligue 1 last season, even if the side fell short; they did though win the Coupe de la Ligue.
Zouma meanwhile has been linked with a number of clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool.
