Queens Park Rangers defender Christopher Samba could be set for a second stint at Russian giants Anzhi Makhachkala just six months after making the move away from Eastern Europe, according to Russian daily Izvestia.
Samba had spent more than five years with Blackburn Rovers when Anzhi came calling in February 2012, but a year later saw him come back to England.
He debuted for QPR under Harry Redknapp but was unable to prevent their slide into relegation, and appears keen on yet another move.
His contract with QPR lasts until 2017, but it is understood Samba has been in talks with Anzhi officials over the transfer, which will see him reunited with manager Guus Hiddink.

A €12m transfer fee has been reported, but Anzhi are yet to officially comment on the matter as a whole, even if the centre-back is expected to join up with his future team-mates at their pre-season training camp in Austria.
Samba's previous spell with Anzhi had been under Hiddink as well, with the 29-year-old making 38 appearances under the Dutchman and scoring four goals.
His time at QPR was limited to just 10 Premier League games, as the club were eventually demoted to the Championship.
Anzhi had made their interest in a Samba return known in February as well, with club director German Tkachenko having claimed they would attempt a signing if Champions League football was secured.
Whilst Anzhi have not managed the latter – they play Europa League next season – Samba's return appears to be imminent either way.
