Former Newcastle goalkeeper Pavel Srnicek has recalled his association with present Magpies custodian Tim Krul, and he insists that the Dutch international has shown how good he is.

Srnicek – who played for Newcastle between 1991 and 1998, as well as in the 2006/07 season – recalled that he used to live with the Dutchman in the same house, and he felt that Krul was an interesting goalkeeper when he met him for the first time.
“I met Tim for the first time when I came back for the second spell and at that time he was a very interesting young goalkeeper coming through", Srniecek told Newcastle’s official site.
