English Premier League side Hull City have announced the signing of former Rangers custodian Allan McGregor from Turkish side Besiktas.

The Scotland international has penned a three-year deal with the Tigers, subject to international clearance.

McGregor started his career with the Ibrox giants and played for their senior side between 2001 and 2012. He also lifted three successive Scottish Premier League titles with the Gers in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

The 31-year-old shot-stopper joined the Turkish giants on a two-year deal last summer. He is now looking forward to getting started with life in the English Premier League.

“I’m really excited to be here and I’m happy that everything is done now”, McGregor told his new club’s official site.

“I can’t wait to get started here. This is a great chance for me to play in the Premier League and I’m looking forward to the season ahead.”

The player will meet up with his new team-mates later this week when pre-season training gets under way.

The Tigers finished second in the Championship last season and clinched promotion to the English top flight.

Steve Bruce’s side play their first Premier League game of the 2013/14 campaign against London giants Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on 17th August.
