Spanish heavyweights Barcelona are still considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva, says Camp Nou director Toni Freixa.
Silva was part of the Brazil side that stunned Spain as the Selecao defeated the reigning European and world champions 3-0 in the final of the recently concluded Confederations Cup.
Silva, whom PSG signed from Italian stalwarts AC Milan for a jaw-dropping fee of €42m in the summer of 2012, impressed at the Parc des Princes last season, where he clocked up a total of 34 appearances.
"Officially, we have not decided on anything [regarding Silva]", Freixa told Spanish daily Marca.

"But we are continuing to look at the situation in the event that a purchase of the player becomes possible", the high-ranking Barcelona official added.
The arrival of Silva would mean Barcelona’s second Brazilian signing during the current transfer window, having already snapped up Santos sensation Neymar.
The current La Liga champions are thought to be in the market for a defender, and while Silva fits the bill, they are also believed to be considering closing their net on either Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen or Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels.
