Chelsea defender David Luiz could soon see himself plying his trade at the Parc des Princes with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain poised to home in their transfer net on the centre-back.

Luiz, 26, was part of the Brazilian side which defeated favourites Spain in the final of the recently concluded Confederations Cup, with the Selecao seeing La Roja off with a convincing 3-0 victory.

But with the competition out of the way, PSG are all back to business. Indeed, the big-money outfit are due to talk with Chelsea in the coming days in the hope of brokering a deal for the centre-back, according to Le 10 Sport.

PSG also believe they know what Chelsea want for Luiz, €45m, and they are in no means taken aback by the asking price, although it would be unusual for the French giants to not want to bargain down that price tag.

Luiz has showed remarkable improvement with Chelsea last season, helping the club reach third place in the Premier League as well as clinching the Europa League crown – form PSG would want Luiz to carry with him should he move to the French capital.

Luiz’s contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit is not due to expire until 2017.
