Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti has cooled talk of a potential switch to English Premier League giants Arsenal, insisting he is only concentrating on his holiday at present.

The talented Italian custodian has been linked with Arsene Wenger’s men, who are believed to be considering launching a swoop to secure him from last season’s Coppa Italia winners.

But Marchetti, who was with the Italy squad at the recently concluded Confederations Cup in Brazil, insists it is news to him.

"I don’t know anything", he told Sky Italia when asked about Arsenal’s interest.

Marchetti featured 33 times for Lazio in Serie A last season, while he also made ten appearances in the Europa League.

Lazio have the 30-year-old under lock and key on a contract running until 2016 at the Stadio Olimpico.
