Kevin Strootman has agreed to join Serie A side Roma if they can find an agreement with the midfielder’s current club PSV Eindhoven.

Roma are dreaming of snapping up the Holland international, something which would be deemed a coup given continuing interest from English giants Manchester United, while Arsenal have also thoroughly scouted the schemer.

Now, according to Italian daily Il Messaggero, Strootman has given the ‘okay’ to Roma, agreeing an outline of what personal terms would look like at the Stadio Olimpico.

However, agreeing a fee with PSV Eindhoven looks far more difficult.

The Philips Stadion outfit want a figure of between €15m and €20m for Strootman.

But Roma do not want to pay more than €11m.

There is also no financial pressure for PSV Eindhoven to sell, given that they have already offloaded Erik Pieters, Dries Mertens and Jeremain Lens this summer.

Technical manager Marcel Brands has also stated that Strootman is not for sale.
