West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has revealed that he is more worried about his side’s total points than their league position after they went down 3-1 against Norwich City on Saturday.
Ravel Morrison gave West Ham a first half lead but the Canaries struck three times after the break to hand the Hammers their fifth Premier League defeat of the season.
The result meant that Allardyce’s side slipped down to 16th spot in the league standings with just ten points from 11 fixtures.
And the manager insisted that he is more concerned about the fact his side have less points than the amount of games that they have played.

"I'm not nervous about the league position”, he told West Ham’s official site.
“I’m concerned that history tells you it's not the position that matters, it's the points total you have against games you've played and at present our points total is less than the games played. It's very dangerous.”
Allardyce hence urged West Ham, who last won in the league against Tottenham Hotspur on 6th October, to return back to winning ways.
"We can't keep saying we're playing well but not getting results", he added.
“Everyone at this club is being paid to win and we're not winning the games we should be winning. We've got to get back to winning ways as quickly as we can."
