Manchester United centre-back Jonny Evans has declared that his side want to remain close to pole position in the Premier League table by Christmas.
The Red Devils, who had a stop-start beginning to the current campaign, have managed to turn around their season as they are now undefeated in their last nine matches in all competitions.
The English champions defeated league leaders Arsenal 1-0 at Old Trafford yesterday to move up to fifth place in the league standings with 20 points from 11 outings.
And Evans, who admitted that Manchester United started the season poorly, believes his side possess the desired experience to end the current campaign strongly.

The defender also feels that the Red Devils are currently in a “good position” which sees the club just five points adrift of first-placed Arsenal.
“We got off to a bad start [this season], but we talked about it, and we want to be within touching distance of top spot by the Christmas period”, Evans told his club’s official site.
“We know that we always finish the season well, we’ve got experience on our side and we’ve got history at this great club, so we’re in a good position.”
