Liverpool centre-back Daniel Agger has admitted that it was a difficult time for him when was not being selected by manager Brendan Rodgers to feature for the club.
The Denmark international made his first Liverpool appearance in over a month in his side’s 4-0 win over Fulham at Anfield on Saturday and helped the Reds to keep their first clean sheet after eight games in all competitions.
And Agger has revealed that he was delighted to be back playing for Liverpool again, but was quick to add that he feels he deserved to make a swifter return.
However, the 28-year-old believes his hard work in training has resulted in him becoming better physically.
