Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has played down any personal duel with Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of a crucial World Cup playoff betweeen the two countries.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker has been in sublime form this season and has scored 15 goals in 17 appearances in all competitions for the French outfit.

 


On the other hand, Ronaldo has pumped in 24 goals in 17 matches for Real Madrid in the present campaign.

However, despite both players being in midst of rich vein of forms, Ibrahimovic stressed the importance of a team game rather than individual brilliance.

"It's Sweden against Portugal. The team is what matters", he told FIFA’s official website.

Ibrahimovic, who further revealed that he feels he has never played better, stated he is focused on continuing his present good form.

"I evolve all the time and even if I'm 32 now, I have the feeling that I keep improving and that I've never played this well", he added.

"For that, one has to train hard, be mentally strong and have the experience I have after playing with fantastic players and clubs. I hope this can continue."

Sweden will face Portugal in away and home fixtures on 15th and 19th November respectively in view of booking a place at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
