Wayne Rooney has insisted that the Premier League is the priority for Manchester United, ahead of all other trophies.
The Red Devils eased to the title last term, but face a battle to retain their crown, with a new manager in David Moyes and a number of clubs looking set to put in strong tilts.
But for Rooney, when it comes down to it, the Premier League is vital and the main trophy he wants to pick up with Manchester United.
He said via his club's official site: "I’ve always said throughout my career that the most important trophy in any season in the Premier League.

"It’s your domestic league and it decides who is the best team over the course of a season.
"That’s the one that it is vital we try to win."
Rooney has hit a purple patch for Manchester United of late and has so far scored five goals in the Premier League this term.
His side are now fifth in the standings.
