France striker Olivier Giroud has explained he is full of "rage" and is prepared to let the lion loose against Ukraine tomorrow evening, when Les Bleus take on the Eastern Europeans in the second leg of their World Cup playoff tie.

The French slipped to a catastrophic 2-0 defeat in Kyiv on Friday evening which leaves them with much work to do should they want to book a spot at next summer's World Cup.

Giroud knows the task in front of Les Bleus is a tough one, but he is not lacking for motivation or desire and is desperate to drive his country to victory.

The Arsenal striker told L'Equipe: "We are ready to die on the pitch to get to the World Cup.
