Aston Villa star Ron Vlaar has hailed his defensive team-mate Jores Okore for the attitude he is showing in his bid to return from a cruciate knee ligament injury.
Okore was only snapped up by Aston Villa in the summer, but suffered a blow earlier this term when he damaged his cruciate ligament in a game against Newcastle, an injury which ended his season.
The Danish defender quickly vowed to do all he could to return from the blow strong and Vlaar is seeing evidence of that being put into practice first hand.
Vlaar told his club's official site: "It's unbelievable what happened to Jores. It's really frustrating.

"But he's doing great. He is in every day. He works hard. And he always has a smile on his face. That's good to see.
"It's not easy for him because I had the same injury too. He will come back stronger though, of that I have no doubt. I am sure of it.
"He is giving it everything. Now we have to remain patient for his return.
"He's always smiling. I got great energy from each step – however small. That's because you have the feeling that you're moving on and going forward. That keeps you busy. You focus on that. I am sure Jores is the same."
Okore managed three Premier League appearances and one League Cup bow for the English side before suffering his horror injury.
