Zubizarreta has put pen to paper on a fresh deal which will see him serve as sporting director at the Camp Nou until 2016.
The former goalkeeper, who is currently in his fourth year as Barcelona's sporting director, has been quick to express his delight at committing his future to the club.
"I’m happy with the confidence shown in me, for the feeling of continuity, but I also know this is a challenge I have to face ever day", he told Barcelona's official site.
