Gibraltar will be heading into future fixtures with plenty of belief according to former Manchester United man Danny Higginbotham, after last night's historic result.
Gibraltar held 65th-ranked Slovakia to a goalless draw yesterday at the Estadio Algarve in Portugal marking their European debut in near-perfect fashion.
Higginbotham, who currently plays for Chester, made his international debut as did Barnsley's Scott Wiseman.
UEFA's 54th full member nation – inducted in May this year – will now be expecting better shows when the Euro 2016 qualifiers come their way.

"Now we have the belief we can do something because Slovakia are a good side and we should take a lot of positives", Higginbotham was told the BBC.
"We are moving in the right direction and this was a result no one expected but we are very proud."
The Estadio Algarve will be Gibraltar's home away from home, as their Victoria Stadium currently does not meet UEFA requirements to hold international competitive fixtures.
Gibraltar will await February's draw for the Euro 2016 qualifiers, with the finals set to take place in France.
