Mark Lawrenson has revealed that Liverpool are proving him wrong with their current form and look likely to be right in the mix to finish in the Premier League's top four this season.
The former defender, who turned out for Liverpool between 1981 and 1988, predicted that the Reds would fall short of returning to the Champions League this season.
Now though he has reversed his opinion and has backed Brendan Rodgers' men as having "a really good chance" of managing a top four finish.
"I think this is our best chance for a long time", said Lawrenson about a top four finish to his former club's official site.
