Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has backed his successor David Moyes, explaining that he feels the ex-Everton boss is "doing great" and explaining he was guilty of losing games in October.
Moyes has got off to a rocky start at Old Trafford and his side suffered defeats against Liverpool, Manchester City and West Brom in September.
The reigning champions have since improved and now sit fifth in the Premier League standings and just five points off league leaders Arsenal.
And, despite teething troubles, Ferguson is completely convinced Moyes is the right man to carry on his legacy.

"He’s got great backing. Yes he’s lost a couple of games but people forget I lost a lot of games in October too.
"There were quite a few years that we didn’t get off to good starts. I remember one year we lost 5-0 at Newcastle, then the following week we got beat 6-3 at Southampton and the BBC ran a programme for two hours on the demise of Manchester United – and we won the league by nine points that year.
"All managers need time, there’s no doubt about that. Examples like myself, Brian Clough, Arsene Wenger – David Moyes for 10 years at Everton. There is evidence that if you stick by your manager and give them time you will get success."
