Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace have confirmed the appointment of former Stoke City boss Tony Pulis as their new manager.

Pulis, who parted company with Stoke in May this year, has penned a two-and-a-half-year contract at Selhurst Park.

The 55-year-old takes over a team sitting bottom of the Premier League with just four points from eleven games.

Pulis will take charge of Palace following today's Premier League clash against Hull at the KC Stadium.
