Manchester United manager David Moyes believes that there was an element of luck about Cardiff's opening goal against his side in the 2-2 draw between the two teams in Wales.

The Premier League champions took the lead in the encounter through Wayne Rooney in the 15th minute, before being pegged back by Frazier Campbell in the 33rd minute.

But Manchester United would go in 2-1 ahead at half time when Patrice Evra headed home a corner just before the break.

Cardiff though did not lose belief and Kim Bo-Kyung nodded the ball home at the death the earn the hosts a 2-2 draw and a precious Premier League point.

And while Moyes was disappointed to see his side drop points, he feels Cardiff's passes for their first goal were so good that they could not repeat them if they tried.

"I'm disappointed that we couldn't take the three points", the former Everton manager said via his club's official site.

"We gave away a stupid free-kick which led to the [second] goal, but we also had a number of chances to win it.

"You have to look at all goals you concede as being poor goals but I have to say that Cardiff made two fantastic passes in the build up to their first goal.

"I’m not sure that they'd be able to make those passes again but today [Sunday, ed] it came off and they got the goal.

"The second goal was a really poor one to let in. We should never have given away that free-kick and put ourselves in a tough position. We didn’t defend the free-kick well at all."
