Manchester United have confirmed that attack-minded midfielder Jesse Lingard will be remaining at Birmingham City on loan until the new year.

Lingard first headed to Birmingham in September and enjoyed a dream debut, scoring four times against Sheffield Wednesday in a Championship match.

The 20-year-old, who is highly-rated by Blues boss Lee Clark, is now set to be available for the Championship outfit over the busy festive period of games.

Lingard, who has scored six goals in seven games for Birmingham, will now remain at the club until 1st January 2014.
