Jordan Henderson has backed his Liverpool team-mate Joe Allen to show his best form for the Reds, believing the Welshman has "a lot to offer".
Allen joined Liverpool in the summer of 2012, with the Merseyside giants forking out £15m to sign the midfielder from Swansea City.
He has struggled to justify that price tag so far however and saw his start to the current campaign disrupted by injury.
Now fully fit and available for selection, Allen has found it difficult to force his way back into the club's first team. But Henderson has no doubt over his quality.

"Joe is a top player", Henderson was quoted as saying by his club's official site.
"He has showed that since he's come to Liverpool. In some of the games he's been brilliant.
"Injuries have knocked him off his rhythm but he's back fit now and has a lot to offer.
"He has proved himself to be a very good player in the Premier League and when he goes away with Wales he always does very well. I'm sure we will see a lot more of him this season."
Henderson himself has plotted a path from being written off as a transfer flop to becoming a key man in manager Brendan Rodgers' midfield unit. Allen will be hoping to follow the ex-Sunderland player's example.
