David Moyes has warned Manchester United's rivals that "the best is yet to come" as he takes Wednesday's 5-0 thrashing of Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League as a sign of things clicking into gear.
The former Everton boss has had a lacklustre start to his time at Old Trafford, losing league games against Liverpool, Manchester City and West Brom. But Moyes feels he is on track and has promised even better than the midweek European performance is to come.
"The best is to come and I still think we can continue to improve and progress", he said via his club's official site.
"We had some little bits of inconsistency at times, which we need to try to do better with, but there have been moments that have shown we are beginning to come right back into form.

"That is what I hope. Midweek [against Leverkusen] certainly showed what we are capable of when we are playing well and the job is to do that week in, week out."
Moyes takes his men to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, with Andre Villas-Boas' hoping his side can bounce back from a 6-0 drubbing against Manchester City last weekend.
And while Manchester United won in midweek European action, so did Spurs, beating Tromso.
