Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois insists his future destination could be decided within the next few months amid the chatter around Barcelona.

Courtois is contracted at Chelsea until 2016 and the Blues are keen to have him sign an extension, even if it means continuing on loan at Atletico for the moment.

Courtois picked up the Ricardo Zamora Trophy – awarded to the goalkeeper with the lowest goals-to-games ratio – for 2012/13 and thoughts turned quickly to his future.

Barcelona are understood to be seeking his signature as a Victor Valdes replacement, with Borussia Monchengladbach's Marc-Andre ter Stegen also in the mix.

However, when pressed on the issue, Courtois was quoted by Mundo Deportivo as saying: "Whether next year I will have to collect this award from England, that remains to be seen.

"It is not certain. I'll see in a few months where my future will be."

Coincidentally, Courtois is the first non-Barcelona goalkeeper to win the Zamora trophy after Victor Valdes snapped up the honour in the previous four seasons.
