Paris Saint-Germain's two-goal hero Zlatan Ibrahimovic is glad to have Edinson Cavani alongside him to make his life easier at the Parc des Princes.

Much of the pre-season talk had revolved around whether Cavani and Ibrahimovic would function well together, but last night against Lyon helped further clear any doubts.

Cavani scored the opener, and Ibrahimovic got a second-half brace around Thiago Silva's effort on the hour mark to dispatch Lyon 4-0.

And Ibrahimovic insists things are even better from last season thanks to PSG's summer-spendings, telling L'Equipe: "Having Cavani makes my game easier.

"We help each other. If I do not score, he's scoring This is something we did not have last year. He also does a lot of defensive work and that is good for the team. This is what we needed.

"We're stronger this year. If we continue using Cavani the right way, it can be good for the team."

Yesterday's win puts PSG four points clear at the top of Ligue 1, ahead of second-placed Lille.
