Manchester United boss David Moyes admits he is "concerned" that his side are nine points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal.

The Gunners won again on Saturday as they visited Cardiff and emerged comfortable 3-0 winners; Manchester United could only muster a 2-2 draw against the same opposition at the same ground the week before.

And yesterday Manchester United registered another 2-2 draw, this time away at Tottenham Hotspur.

Heading into the busy festive period, the reigning champions are now nine points off Arsene Wenger's men and this despite beating Arsenal last month at Old Trafford.

Moyes is, perhaps understandably, now a little concerned.

He explained to MUTV: "I'm concerned we're not as close as we'd like to be [to Arsenal] but it's a long season and hopefully we'll be there or thereabouts."

The Manchester United manager is now calling upon his side not to lose any further ground to the Gunners.

"There are a lot of games to go. I think the Premier League is tight and we'll try to stay on the shirt-tails and put ourselves in a good position at the start of next year", he said.
