Promising Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has brushed off transfer speculation surrounding him and explained he is determined to succeed at the Bernabeu.

Morata faces a battle for minutes on the pitch at Los Blancos, who can call upon stars such as Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, Angel di Maria and Gareth Bale to carry their attacking threat.

Morata has recently been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, although the former's manager Arsene Wenger has moved to distance his club from a swoop for the Spaniard.

And Morata is not stoking the transfer fires; in fact the 21-year-old is doing just the opposite.

"I'm only thinking about succeeding at Real Madrid. I'm happy at this club", Morata told Sportium News.

"Gradually I will take more responsibility. I am convinced. My time has not yet come.

"Last season I played 17 games for the first team and now I feel much more important. My goal is to keep learning. I am young and I have a long way to go."

Morata also feels that remaining at Real Madrid is certain to be a fine learning experience.

"It is a privilege to share a dressing room with the best players in the world.

"To train with them every day makes you grow a lot."
