Christian Eriksen will have the opportunity to double up on individual awards this year after being nominated for the Danish Footballers' Association's (Spillerforeningen) Player of the Year title.

Tottenham Hotspur man Eriksen snapped up the Danish Player of the Year award earlier this year, and joins Daniel Agger and Jores Okore as one of three nominees from the Premier League.

Agger is fighting to gain regular time at Liverpool while Okore is employed at Aston Villa, though he is out with an injury until the end of the season.

Esbjerg fB's Peter Ankersen and Toulouse's Martin Braithwaite round up the list, in which Ankersen is the only Denmark-based player at the moment.

Eriksen won his second Danish Player of the Year award last month – he first won it in 2011 – as Cardiff City striker Andreas Cornelius became the Young Player of the Year.

The Spillerforeningen award, however, is voted for by players who are not only based in Denmark, but also in foreign clubs. The title will be conferred in January next year.

Eriksen, who has made seven Premier League appearances for Spurs this season, will be squaring off against last year's winner in Agger.
