Manchester United manager David Moyes has revealed that he may not be able to rope in players during the January transfer window.

The Scot had an unsuccessful summer transfer window, where he managed to add only Marouane Fellaini to the senior ranks from his former club Everton, and that too on deadline day.

And Moyes, who admitted that Manchester United need to strengthen their squad, explained that the players he is interested in may not be available in January.

The manager further added that he does not intend to “hype up” the transfer speculation surrounding players who have been linked with a move to Old Trafford.

"There's an urgency that we would like to bring people in but are those players available in January?", he was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"There's no point in me hyping it up because the players we would like to bring in are probably not available in January, not because we don't want to do it."

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Atletico Madrid’s Koke and out-of-favour Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao, though it remains to be seen if Moyes does dip into his funds this month.
