Serge Gnabry has revealed that he is happy to accumulate game time under his belt for Arsenal at the moment, and the youngster insisted that he is determined to make the most of his opportunity in the side.

Injury to fellow winger Theo Walcott, who is ruled out for the season, has opened the door for Gnabry to feature for the Gunners more often.

The 18-year-old started in his side’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa on 14th January, with the starlet maintaining his starting-spot in the 2-0 victory against Fulham at the weekend.

And the German, who admitted that it was hard luck for Walcott to be on the sidelines, explained that he is relishing his first-team opportunities and that his team-mates are helping him to settle in the squad.

Gnabry further added he is of the opinion that he has scope for improvement and that he should have found the back of the net against Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.

“That is the business, it is bad luck for Theo but I am happy to be playing at the moment and just trying to do my best”, he told Arsenal’s official site.

“I feel good in the squad, they are all helping me, but I felt like I could have done better [against Fulham] and I should have scored.”
