Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that his squad are not only about Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge ahead of the Merseyside club’s crucial Premier League contest against Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday.

The strike pair have been in great form for the Reds this season, scoring 37 Premier League goals between them.

And Rodgers, who admits that both Suarez and Sturridge are extremely talented, wants to fit the duo into his team.

However, the former Swansea City manager further added that Liverpool do not revolve around just the two lethal strikers and explained that no one’s place is guaranteed in his squad.

“I see them as two very talented players we are looking to integrate into a team structure. My job is to fit them into the team”, Rodgers was quoted as saying by his club’s official site.

"They all have to buy into the team and we've seen that during my time here.

"The team is a work in progress; I don't set it up just for Luis and Daniel."

Rodgers also insisted that Liverpool have improved as a team and that his aim is to maximise the talent of his charges.

"It's about good players and maximising their talents.

"At this moment in time as we have evolved as a team and got better they have grown with it as well."
