The agent of Mario Balotelli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic has slammed Italian football, suggesting it is not fit for the modern era and is unlikely to enter it anytime soon.
Mino Raiola, who regularly deals with Italian clubs and has a string of high-profile clients, is not positive on the future of the Italian game and has spoken out after all the country's clubs were eliminated from the Champions League before the quarter-final stage.

"Football is a reflection of society and that certainly applies to Italy", he explained to NIS.
"Italian football is so politicised that clubs cannot enter the modern era.

"If clubs want to build a new stadium, there are so many politicians who interfere, so the construction never gets off the ground.
"The money is never there.
"Infrastructure in Italy needs to be improved, the youngsters should be coaches in a different way. Only then can they get back to the top. But I don't see that happening in the next few years."
