Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has accused Benfica boss Jorge Jesus of lacking class following their heated touchline spat in the Europa League clash at White Hart Lane last night.
The Portuguese club beat Spurs 3-1 in the first leg of the last 16 round of the European tournament, and Jesus celebrated his side’s third goal, a Luisao free-kick, by putting three fingers up in a gesture of goodbye at Sherwood.

The Englishman felt disrespected by the action and following a confrontation with the 59-year old, refused to shake hands at the final whistle; Jesus meanwhile claimed the three-fingered salute was a reference to goalscorer Luisao.
The pair clashed throughout the game, and Sherwood has made it clear that he has no intention of speaking with the Portuguese ahead of their next meeting in Lisbon.

"I thought his team were very good, got a lot of class. It's a pity he doesn't”, Sherwood was quoted as saying by the BBC.
"In the first two minutes he was coming over to the fourth official saying I was stepping in his box.
“He doesn't mind himself, does he, to be fair? Waving goodbye like that with three fingers? It lacks class. Why would anyone do that?
"He's got a good side, of course he has, but, nah, not for me thank you. I have no intention of speaking to him”, the 45-year-old added.
With a two-goal deficit, Tottenham face an uphill task to qualify for the quarter-finals as the two sides meet for the second leg next Thursday, before which the Lilywhites host Arsenal in a north London derby in the Premier League on 16th March.
