Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has talked up Tottenham's quality ahead of Sunday's north London derby, putting their troubles this season down to signing a large number of players in the summer.
Andre Villas-Boas lost his job as Spurs manager in December, replaced by Tim Sherwood, who is also having trouble teasing the best out of a squad which was significantly strengthened over the summer following the departure of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.

For Wenger there is little doubt that Spurs have much quality within their ranks, with perhaps just a little time the missing ingredient.
"Tottenham have bought so many players that it might take them some time to get the right balance or find the right level. I think they are a good side", Wenger said via his club's site.

"I still think it always takes time when you bring in many new players, but you cannot say Spurs have had a bad season, they’ve had a good season and they are there.
"Like everyone else, like we have, they have gone through good and bad periods."
Tottenham warmed up for the derby by losing 3-1 against Benfica in midweek Europa League action, while Arsenal drew 1-1 at Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
