Uli Hoeness has resigned as president of Bayern Munich after being found guilty of tax evasion and jailed.
The German kept millions of euros in a secret Swiss bank account and, though admitting his charges, has not managed to avoid prison.

Hoeness was sentenced to three-and-a-half years behind bars and has opted not to appeal.
He has also resigned from his post at Bayern Munich.

A former player, Hoeness won the World Cup with Germany in 1974, having picked up the European Championship two years earlier.
