West Ham striker Andy Carroll admits he is dreaming of going to this summer's World Cup with England, but is aware he must impress at the Hammers to get the nod.

England manager Roy Hodgson took Carroll to Euro 2012, the powerful hitman scoring a memorable header against Sweden in the tournament.

However, having missed much of the current season through injury, Carroll has a limited window to convince Hodgson to hand him a spot on the plane to Brazil.

"I feel good. I've been working hard in training through my suspension and I'm feeling good and feeling fit", he told his club's site.

"[West Ham have] been doing well when I haven't been playing, keeping clean sheets and getting the points on the board to get us out of the relegation zone and up into tenth. It's been all positive.

"The World Cup is on my mind, of course it is, but I've got to start scoring goals here and start winning games before that comes."
