Roma are keeping close tabs on Adrien Rabiot's situation at Paris Saint-Germain, having been alerted to the midfielder knocking back a contract extension offer.

Rabiot was reported to be unhappy with the financial aspect of the contract offer, while he is also looking for more first team football, eager not to warm the Parc des Princes bench at a crucial stage in his development.

The 18-year-old has his fair share of suitors, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur both having been strongly linked. But now a Serie A option is set to present itself.

According to Tutto Mercato, Roma are monitoring Rabiot closely and are keen to take him to Italy if the opportunity arises.

The Giallorossi could even ask for Rabiot to come the other way if they agree to sell Bosnian Miralem Pjanic to PSG in the summer, the French club being known to admire the player.

Rabiot has made 20 appearances in Ligue 1 for PSG so far this season, though only eight of those have come as a starter.

His current deal at the Parc des Princes runs until 2015.
