Leeds United manager Brian McDermott insists he is not looking any further than just winning football matches, as the long-term future of the club remains unresolved.

The Yorkshire giants are still waiting for the Football League to grant approval for Italian businessman Massimo Cellino to take control of 75 per cent of the club, but the prospective owner has already been funding the Elland Road outfit.

As the takeover saga has dragged on Leeds' results on the pitch have suffered and McDermott's men sit just 15th in the Championship table, having lost their last three games.

And so the former Reading manager's focus is more on the immediate future than the longer term.

"The short term plan is to win games, we need to start winning games", he told his club's site.

"It is very simple and everyone is much happier when they win.

"I’m certainly not enjoying that we’re not winning the games at this moment in time. You want to win games and we are used to winning games."

Leeds host struggling Millwall tomorrow at Elland Road as McDermott looks for his side's first win since 8th February.
