The owners of Leeds United, GFH Capital, are in discussions with Italian businessman Massimo Cellino over the funding of the club's wage bill for this month.
Cellino is bidding to take over 75 per cent of Leeds through his Eleonora Sport Limited vehicle, but suffered a big setback to his plans earlier this week when the Football League ruled he has not passed its owners' and directors' test.

Cellino has though stopped his funding due to the Football League's decision which, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post and the BBC, has led to doubts over whether the club's player and staff will be paid on Friday.
