Brian McDermott has once again demanded the ownership situation at Leeds United be sorted out as he believes that it is affecting the club’s on-field performances, following his side’s 4-1 loss to Bournemouth yesterday.

The Peacocks, whose proposed takeover by Massimo Cellino hit rough water on Monday, slumped to their first ever defeat against the Cherries.

A brace apiece from Yann Kermorgant and Lewis Grabban gave Bournemouth a 4-0 lead by the 51st minute at Dean Court before Ross McCormack scored a consolation goal for the visitors in the 69th minute.

And McDermott, whose side have now won just two of their last nine outings, wants Leeds to recover from the drubbing quickly, while also addressing the uncertainty surrounding the club.

"We need the ownership of this club to be sorted in the right and proper way”, he was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"It does affect what is going on, on the pitch – there is no doubt about that.

"I have not had this before, a team that concedes four or five goals and we need to sort it out very, very quickly."

Leeds, who are currently 14th in the Championship table with 47 points from 37 games, will next face Doncaster Rovers at Elland Road on Saturday.
