Manchester Under-21 midfielder Andreas Pereira looks up to fellow Belgian Adnan Januzaj, who made a quick step-up from youth team football to becoming a regular in the Red Devils’ starting line-up.

Pereira who, joined the club from PSV Eindhoven in 2012, has recently become a regular in Warren Joyce’s Under-21 set-up, and revealed his admiration for Januzaj.

The youngster was also quick to praise Januzaj's rapid progression at Old Trafford.

“It's a motivation to see him doing well and doing everything right because you know what you have to do”, he told his club’s website.

“Adnan took his chance and did extremely well and now he's regularly with the first team.”

The Belgian also said that he and Januzaj are good friends off the field and frequently socialise together.

“We always go out together socially, with Charni [Ekangamene] as well.”

Pereira captained the 2013 Milk Cup-winning Manchester United team and was voted Player of the Tournament after helping himself to three goals en-route to the final.
