Wolfsburg have not given up hope of keeping veteran striker Ivica Olic, despite interest in the Croatian from a number of clubs, including Stoke City.

Olic's contract at the Volkswagen Arena is coming to an end this summer and several sides have been eyeing snapping up the 34-year-old on a free transfer.

According to Sport Bild, the Wolves have offered Olic a contract renewal, which would amount to a one-year extension.

Despite his ageing legs Olic has hit nine goals in 25 Bundesliga matches for Wolfsburg so far this season, also chipping in with three assists.
